2012 TBR Challenge

My list of books to read:

  1. A Clergyman’s Daughter           George Orwell
  2. Puddn’head Wilson                    Mark Twain
  3. War and Peace                          Leo Tolstoy (Hated it!)
  4. Uncle Tom’s Cabin                     Harriet Beecher Stowe
  5. Mary Stuart                                 Alexander Dumas
  6. Three Musketeers                      Alexander Dumas
  7. Twenty Years After                     Alexander Dumas
  8. Blood on the Tracks                   Cecilia Holland
  9. Greatest Knight                          Elizabeth Chadwick
  10. The Robbers                               Friedrich Schiller
  11. Mystery of the Four Fingers       Fred M. White
  12. Garden Party                              Katherine Mansfield

Note:  I have added the Three Musketeers although I read it as a teenager.  I did not know however there is a “sequel”, which is the title Twenty Years After.  It has been over 30 years since I read the Three Musketeers and before reading the second part I thought it would be a good idea to refresh my memory.

Another note:  I have to see if it is ok to change one of my books, since I forgot I had placed it on this list and I read it. :(

* Means you can get it free, it can be found on Project Gutenberg or many other sites offering free e-books.
** Means it is free on Amazon, Kindle Book, don’t know how long, but when posted here it was free.
Regarding the links to books I have read or am reading, I have no store on Amazon or any other to sell books. First link that appears when I search, is the one that ends up here. Usually, that is. :)

  1. Hi! I see from the list of books to read– all the books are famous classics and I have read about Book 1, 2, 4, 7 and 9 from your TBR list. If you have some time, do come by my blog :http://musewithcoffee.wordpress.com. I post daily musings, ebooks and daily insights that I find leaving a mark on our lives and inspiring us. I am an avid reader myself and foremost an indie author. My ebook 12 Precious Anecdotes from Life is released in Amazon and I am pretty excited about it. It tells about celebrating life in all its beauty with a touch of adventure and inspiration. Its a fictional collection of 12 short stories. I could connect with your blog post. So I am sharing the book link with you – http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0087OXSS2. Have a great week ahead! Thank you

    • Shoot, I had forgotten all about my list and was reading so many other things! :( Thanks for the reminder. I am following your blog now. How did you like the books you read? Thank you very much for the link too! :)
