Did anyone ever watch this show? I was trying to remember the name of it the other day when talking to another person, I could not for the life of me remember what it was called.  I finally had to do a search on BBC sitcom‘s and see what came up.  I LOVED this show, altho there were a few times I didn’t get what had been said because of the accent.  Sorry.

The manager of the rooming house was, to me, absolutely amazing in his ignorance, yet hilarious at the same time.  At times he would say, or do, things that I just could NOT believe. As in this episode clip when he says, “What’s gonna happen when he hears the drums?”  OMG!!  It still makes me roll with laughter.  Such a BOZO.

When reading about the show after I looked it up  the other day, I had forgotten the lady in the sitcom was the very same lady in the Harry Potter series.  I have seen her so often over the years, yet I had never made the connection to this show.  I had also forgotten about the “African King” or “Prince“. I had also forgotten, until watching the clip, how people would just walk in the room of another tentant.  No knocking on the door or anything.  Especially Rigsby.

Rigsby, whenever he was confronted by something he considered “feminine” regarding Alan would end up with a sneer on his face or a sly “know-it-all” grin.

I really loved this show, I don’t think “discovered” it until the 80′s tho.  Just sharing.
